Dr. Draw is the stage moniker of Eugene Draw, a Canadian experimental electric violinist based in Toronto, Ontario. Dr. Draw often plays with his band composed of a guitarist, an electronic keyboardist, an electric harpist, an electric cellist, a rock bassist, and a drummer.

As busy as he is, he always makes time for his long-time friends. He has been a friend of one of the two owners of the cat's cradle bar, since grade 10 high school - Jarvis Collegiate 1997. He surprised us with another live performance at the cat's cradle!
Eugene (Dr. Draw) joined us for a brief performance at the Cat's Cradle bar immediately following his halftime show for the Toronto Raptors! His energy and commitment are incredible!
He had our regulars up and jumping, clapping in rhythm, swinging, and dancing as if the floor were on fire.
It's awesome to be able to combine and collaborate on each of our own personal achievements. Him being a rock star, and I, being able to host his talent in my personal family business.
There are very few names that can promise you won’t leave their gravitational pull without undergoing some kind of transformative emotional experience, and one of those names is Dr. Draw. Eugene Draw aka Dr. Draw moved to Canada with his family in 1992, and learned his craft busking on the streets of Toronto where he earned his stage moniker as a healer of the spirit. Impossible to ignore, Dr. Draw was often solely responsible for bringing the people he encountered out of their somber mood and into a sunny one.

Dr. Draw has had a significant presence in the Toronto cultural scene for over 27 years. Rising from humble beginnings as a busker, he made history as the first violinist to bridge the gap between rock, classical, and electronic music cultures. Starting as a Canadian heartthrob in the late 2000s, his ambitions and audience have since transcended the borders of his youth, propelling Dr. Draw to renewed success in recent years.
Internationally recognized, Dr. Draw has graced prestigious stages, including the opening of the Westfield World Trade Center 9/11 memorial in 2016, acting as a cultural ambassador at the Canadian Embassy in Washington DC in 2017, and performing alongside members of the Gypsy Kings in Mexico. In the late 2000s, he traveled the world, captivating audiences with his performances for luxury brands like Louis Vuitton. His musical journey has taken him to television appearances in Sri Lanka and to the Sovereign Art Foundation’s Art Fund in Hong Kong in 2019. Notably, he has shared the stage with star acts such as John Legend, Mariah Carey, Shaggy, 2 Cellos, and Drake in the past four years.
“Dr. Draw is one of those rare performers who can appeal to such a wide cross section from teens to families to seniors, equally male and female that he is always a highlight at any festival or event.”- DPPR, Festival Publicist“Newsweekly, Boston

Dr. Draw stole the show with his infectious performance of high energy, piping out a mix of classical and house musical sounds from his electric violin. The show allegedly literally brought some to tears.”-
We're still waiting for his schedule to change so we can slip in for another performance!
