The Cat's Cradle is a small family-run business, owned by a couple, Mario and Barbara, along with their three young children. It was established in 2019 in Corso Italia. We first met at 18, and from then on, we were determined to own a bar someday. In 2001, we wandered the streets looking for opportunities to buy and had ideas that, fortunately, remained dreams at that time. We had no idea of the effort, time, and money needed to create something from the ground up. But we stayed together and devised a plan.

We have always built our foundation as a team. At eighteen, we aimed to purchase our first truck. We worked relentlessly, sacrificing our time and saving diligently. Eventually, we acquired the exact new truck we desired. By 25, we set our sights on owning our first house, and we achieved it. We were married by 33 and knew we wanted children; our bungalow wouldn't be enough, so we set higher goals. We bought our second house at 33, had our first child by 34, and our second by 36.
At 37, we finally created our fourth child, “The Cat’s Cradle.” It required significant risks, our entire life savings, and all of our time, but after 20 years, a lifelong dream is fulfilled. Basically, "if you build it, they will come!" Now in our 40's, we're sticking to making The Cat's Cradle the place to be on St Clair west!

We believe in bringing the community together and have hosted many charity events to pay it forward. Such as raising money for the school board, the North Toronto Cat rescue, Sick Kids, the Salvation Army toy drive, food drives, and Movember, to name a few.

The cat’s cradle sports and spirits stands out as a vibrant local bar nestled in the heart of Toronto’s St. Clair West neighborhood. Renowned for its inviting atmosphere, this establishment seamlessly blends the excitement of sports with a cozy, friendly vibe.
We provide a secure, family-friendly environment and a welcoming space for women.

We serve as a haven for sports fans and a gathering spot for music enthusiasts. Our 8 tv's dedicated to full surround sound anytime a big game is on!
Our Saturday nights are dedicated to special tribute events and live DJs or bands! A variety of events, such as lively karaoke nights and numerous screens for sports, make this bar a preferred spot for both relaxation and entertainment.

We've had special guests and celebrities like Alan Cross, the cast of various TV shows, and the guitarist from Platinum Blonde! And have hosted many tribute events, like "Prince", "the killers", "the red hot chili peppers", "u2 day", "the cranberries", and very many more!

Guests value the bar's impressive cocktail selection, especially during themed events. The knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive staff consistently provide outstanding service, ensuring each experience is unforgettable, because we all work as a team!

We aim to create a welcoming atmosphere with elements of gold, marble, brick, and stained woods. Our inviting sports bar offers pub food, spirits, beers, wines, and a variety of beverages, including rare imports. Additionally, we have a sunny back patio perfect for leisurely summer days, comedy, karaoke, jazz events, and live music that is sure to entertain.
The Biggest sense of community is being located in the Corso Italia neighborhood, where Mario and his family grew up with many friends nearby. Once you arrive, you'll become part of the family. Our regulars are amazing people, who we deeply cherish.
