The cat's cradle "Team building" party with the perfect setting - In a 1920s speakeasy during prohibition, for a group of bartenders.
I've always loved Casa loma. Its haunting history and amazingly convincing setup for this particular escape room. The only thing that was missing was real alcohol.
The actors were hyper realistic and kept everyone on their toes. We even learned a few new cocktails.

"King of the Bootleggers" refers to either a live, interactive escape room game set in 1920s prohibition-era Toronto at Casa Loma, or to a real-life 1920s gangster named George Remus, the true "King of the Bootleggers" of that era.
In this case, its the escape room!
The escape room involves players helping a character named Bessi Perri take down her husband, the notorious bootlegger Rocco Perri, while the real-life Remus was a lawyer who used unique defenses to exploit loopholes in prohibition laws to become a criminal kingpin.
King of the Bootleggers (Escape Room)
Setting:
1920s Toronto, during the height of Prohibition.
Premise:
Players are invited to a secret meeting at the infamous bar of notorious gangster Rocco Perri.
Goal:
You must help Bessi Perri, who has set her sights on her husband's bootlegging empire, assemble a gang to take him down.
Experience:
The game features live actors, an exclusive experience within Casa Loma, and a speakeasy theme.
King of the Bootleggers (George Remus)
Who he was:
A lawyer who built a vast bootlegging empire in the 1920s, becoming known as the "King of the Bootleggers".
How he operated:
Remus was known for his intelligence and theatrical approach to law, using strategies like transitory insanity (temporary insanity) to get his clients out of legal trouble, and finding loopholes in the Volstead Act to profit from the sale of liquor.
Legacy:
He became a prominent figure in organized crime during Prohibition due to his immense wealth and influence in the illicit alcohol trade
Rocco, the so called King of the Bootleggers, has been runnin' this town ever since the G-men banned the good stuff back in '16. His bootlegging biz is almost as legendary as his wild parties. I'll give it to ya straight, no chaser, come find me at Casa Loma and I'll give you the grand tour. Just be on the lookout for the speakeasy door. There's something we gotta talk about. Trust me, you won't wanna miss it.
Yous gotta be some kind of brave not to accept an invite to Rocco Perri's joint
We made it out in time, and alive... just barely!
